Jalan Ross (Ross Road), George Town, Penang (7 July 2022)


Ross Road is a minor road in George Town, Penang. It connects Western Road (now Jalan Utama) with York Road, beside Seri Mutiara, the Penang Governor's Mansion.

Ross Road was named in honour of Dr. John Stuart Rose, the Health Office and Head of Medical at the Penang General Hospital nearby. Rose served the hospital from 1917 to 1927.

Getting there

The nearest bus stop, along Residency Road, in front of the Penang General Hospital, is served by Rapid Penang bus 10, 304 and 306.
