Big Mouth Mural, Ryokan Muntri Boutique Hostel (6 July 2015)


There are a few murals at Ryokan Muntri Boutique Hostel, a reflection of its support for street art in Penang. As you enter the hostel, you will notice the mural at the five-foot way. It is of a man with an open mouth. This mural was done by British artist Gabriel Pitcher.

If you book a bed at Ryokan Muntri, you will use stairs. There is another mural on the stairway, of the evolution from caveman to backpacker.

Finally, at the rear part of the hostel is a mural of Muntri Street itself depicting the hostel itself.
