Saanen Dairy Goat Farm (GPS: 5.40546, 100.20778) 莎能牧羊场 is a goat farm in Sungai Pinang, Balik Pulau. It is located a short distance from Jalan Sungai Pinang main road. The country road leading to the farm winds its way through rural houses to reach the farm, which is on a sloping terrain, to the left side of the country road.

This is the turning in off Jalan Sungai Pinang to Saanen Dairy Goat Farm.

Saanen Dairy Goat Farm offers free admittance to visitors. They are also provided with the free vegetables to feed the goats. Children in particular would be thrilled to visit this farm and learning about the goats. The farm operates a kiosk where you can enjoy goat products such as milk, yogurt and goat milk jelly dessert.

My wife and I visited Saanen Dairy Goat Farm on 4 May, 2015. We were not actually heading to the farm, but simply saw the signboard when we were in Balik Pulau, and decided to check it out.

In addition to the goat pans, the area is planted with various trees including the dragonfruit cacti.

How to go to Saanen Dairy Goat Farm

From Jalan Sungai Rusa (the main road between Balik Pulau and Teluk Bahang), turn off at Jalan Sungai Pinang and go a short distance keeping a look out for the signage on the right side of the road (see the 360° street view above) for the turning in to Saanen Dairy Goat Farm.
