SJKC Yang Cheng, Teluk Kumbar (9 July 2017)


SJKC Yang Cheng (GPS: 5.30068, 100.23206), also called Sekolah Rendah Yang Cheng, is a Chinese primary school in Teluk Kumbar, Penang. From the appearance of its school building, which is in the late Art Deco, early Modern style, I suppose this school was established in the 1960s or earlier. According to the Malay Wikipedia, the school has 113 male pupils and 135 female pupils in 2009.

In preparation for the widening of Jalan Teluk Kumbar, SJKC Yang Cheng relocated to another site to the north of its former site in 2017.
