"Sibling Secrets" Mural, Mount Erskine

Sibling SecretsSibling Secrets (17 August 2013)

Sibling Secrets (GPS: 5.44888, 100.30239) is a mural painted on the retaining wall of a backlane in Mount Erskine, Penang. The mural depicts two children, an older girl and a younger boy, having ice-cream. The girl appears to be whispering a secret to the boy, who listened in amusement.

Sibling Secrets is the work of Song Siew Yin. She did the painting of her two children who were having a rest after cycling about in the area. The wall appeared to tempting that she just had to do the painting. She did it out of fun, and was pleasantly surprised to find that friends and others have begun a "pilgrimage of sorts" to admire it.

Getting there

Sibling Secrets is painting in a backlane off Jalan Choong Lye Hock. If you enter Jalan Choong Lye Hock from Mount Erskine Road, look for the backlane on the right side of the road before Jalan Choong Lye Hock curves to the right. Go down that lane until you see the mural on your right.
