Sigi's Bar & Grill at Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La has just introduced their New Italian Fare by the beach. This is Sigi's new à la carte menu which is available daily from 11:00am to 10:00pm.
My wife and I were delighted to be invited to its launch. The Italian Fare is made possible with the presence of Italian chef, Mr Gianfranco Pirrone, who prepared most of the dishes. Mr Pirrone, who is based at Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta, is on a visit to Penang.
We were introduced to the various dishes available, which ranges from pizza to pasta, as well as olive oil, mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. We joined members of the local socia media community in photographing the fare before sitting down to a sumptuous meal together.
Among the Italian dishes available including various Antipasti, greens, surf & turf items such as tiger king prawns and T-bone steak, various pizza items and pastas such as ravioli, spaghetti and seafood aglio e olio. These come with various beverages including spritz, gin, whisky, fruit juices and beer, among others.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
