Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Sih Jing San 新金山 (GPS: 5.41656, 100.3238), which formerly called itself Sin Kim Sun Coffee Centre, is a local coffee shop along Macalister Road, at the junction with Rangoon Road. The coffee shop is located adjacent to Kedai Kopi Tien Lai, and both shops seem to share a common food court, with numerous hawker stalls. Among the dishes found here include Char Koay Teow, Char Hor Fun, Fried Oyster, and others.

Perhaps most famous of all the stalls at Sin Kim Sun Coffee Centre is Ah Soon Kor Har Mee stall, which is my favourite Hokkien Mee in Penang since 2012.

Sin Kim Sun Coffee Centre is open for much of the day, although different hawker stalls are open at different times. To enjoy the har mee, go in the morning, between 7:30 am and 11:30 am. The coffee shop truly comes alive in the evening, when most of the stalls begain operating.

Getting there

You can take Rapid Penang Bus 10, 101 and 104 to Macalister Road, then walk just a short distance from the bus stop. If unsure where to alight, tell the driver to stop you near the junction of Macalister Road and Rangoon Road.
