Afro Asia Building (GPS: 1.27902, 103.84911) is a now demolished seven-storey office building along Robinson Road in Singapore, at the junction with McCallum Street. Businesses operating at this address include MPH Bookstores, Tradeasia International and Mutual Insurance Services.

Updates on Afro Asia Building

The Afro Asia Building was demolished in 2017 to be rebuilt and rebranded as Afro-Asia i-Mark Building. The new building will be 19 storeys tall and is expected to be completed in Q2 of 2020. It will offer Grade A office space. The new building is being jointly developed by Afro-Asia Shipping Co. and Shimizu Corp., and is estimated to cost S$320 million, with the former having majority stake in the joint venture.1.

In November 2019, the joint developers inked a deal with hospitality-based co-working operator The Great Room to be the anchor tenant. The deal was brokered by its exclusive leasing agent, JLL. The Great Room will take up 37,000 sq ft of office space in the building, from the 6th to the 8th floor, which amounts to 26% of total nett lettable space in the new building, making it the largest of The Great Room's office space in Singapore.
