Army Museum of Singapore is a museum within the grounds of the SAFTI Militiary Institute in Jurong, Singapore. It was established to preserve and celebrate the history of the Singapore Army as well as to honour the contributions of its soldiers.

The Army Museum of Singapore is located beside a pond. The design of the museum is such that it integrates into the topography. Within the museum are six galleries spread over three levels. Visitors should start at Level 3 and work their way down to Level 1. Level 3 begins with the Orientation Gallery, and moved to Birth of Our Army and Building Our Army. There is also space for a theatre as well as exhibits of foreign tributes.

Level 2 continues with the Tribute Gallery, Future Concept and the Combat Simulator, as well as gallery entitled Our Future and Our Army Today. There is also a section on confidential operations now declassified. The museum theatre entered through this level.

Level 1 houses the museum office and an outlet of MPH bookstore.

The name Army Museum of Singapore was the winning submission in a naming competition among the soldiers. It was proposed by 3SG Muhammad Haekal, 3SG Kenneth Chia and CPL Jesmund Tay, who all came up with the idea independently. The name enables the use of the acronym ARMS for the museum.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
