Bedok Reservoir Park, Singapore
Bedok Reservoir Park (GPS: 1.33977, 103.93393) is a public park developed around the Bedok Reservoir in
Bedok, Singapore. The park allows the residents of the neighbouring townships to enjoy greenery and recreation. Among the activities you can enjoy here include fishing, sailing and canoeing. There are paths for biking and jogging as well.
The Bedok Reservoir was developed out of a former sand quarry. The reservoir covers 880,000 sq km and has a capacity of 12.8 million cubit meters. Its shoreline covers 4.3 km. Bodok Reservoir Park covers 417,000 sq km.

Residents in the neighbourhoods surrounding Bedok Reservoir Park complained of green flies which swarm the area. The green flies, according to the National Environment Agency, are midges, a type of bug that resembles the mosquito, but do not bite or carry diseases. To control the midge infestation, the area was sprayed with safe pesticide.
