Bencoolen MRT Station (GPS: 1.29963, 103.85105; DT21) is an underground mass rapid transit station of the Singapore MRT. It is located under Bencoolen Street, near the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and junction of Prinsep Link. The station is served by the Downtown Line, between the Fort Canning MRT Station and the Jalan Besar MRT Station. Located 43 meters (141 feet) underground, the Bencoolen MRT Station is the deepest MRT Station in Singapore, and is at about the same depth as the Promenade MRT Station, which will become the second deepest. It opened to commuters as part of Phase 3 (aka Downtown Line 3) of the line on 21 October, 2017.
