Canning Rise, SingaporeCanning Rise, Singapore (30 July 2017)


Canning Rise is a minor road in the Museum Planning Area of Singapore. It connects on one end to Coleman Street. The other end is at the SMU School of Law car park. A pedestrianised portion of Armenian Street also connects to it.

According to Singapore Street Names, Canning Rise was named after The Viscount Canning, Charles John Canning (1812-62), who served as the Governor General of India from 1856 to 1862.
