Coney Island (Pulau Serangoon), Singapore
Coney Island (GPS: 1.41048, 103.92118) is the other name for
Pulau Serangoon. This is a small, 45-hectare island on the northeast coast of Singapore, off
Punggol. A 100-meter channel separates it from mainland Singapore. There are plans to link it to the mainland with a bridge. Until that happens, the only way to get to Coney Island is by motor launches.
There are plans to develop Coney Island with upscale waterfront residences. At the moment, however, the coastline is littered with debris and trash that is washed up by the tide.
