CPF Building, Singapore (8 July 2011)
CPF Building (GPS: 1.27733, 103.84812) is a now demolished skyscraper in
Singapore. It was located at 79
Robinson Road. The building was completed in 1976. It stood at 46-storey skyscraper and was 171 meters (561 feet) tall. It housed the Central Provident Fund Board, the compulsory social security savings plan of Singapore.
The CPF Building was designed by the Public Works Department. It comprises four tiered sections. The three lower sections each has eight levels of office space while the top section has only two. These four sections sit on a six-storey podium. The design is similar to that of the DBS Building Tower One next to it.
In November 2015, the CPF Building was sold to CapitaLand for S$550 million. It was demolished to make way for a new 29-storey office tower to be completed in 2020.
