Take note of Singapore
Customs and Prohibited Items as the country has very tough laws with regards what you can and cannot bring in. There is a mandatory death penalty for trafficking (that includes bringing in, even if it is found within your urine sample) controlled drugs.
The following are items which you must not bring into Singapore:
- Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances.
- Liquors and cigarettes marked with the words "Singapore duty not paid"
- Chewing tobacco and imitation tobacco products.
- Chewing gum.
- Any form of firearms, any imitation firearm, any toys looking like firearm, even cigaratte lighters that look like pistols.
- Endangered wildlife and things made from them.
- Firecrackers.
- Obscene articles and publication in any form.
- Pirated software, DVDs and music CDs.
- Seditious and treasonable materials.
You can bring in food items such as chicken, seafood and beef up to 5 kg for your own consumption, above which you need a permit. Medicine that require a prescription under Singapore laws must be accompanied by a doctor's prescription. If you are on medication, it is best to bring along your doctor's prescription.
