Irwell Bank Road is a major road in River Valley, Singapore. The road is in Postal District 09. It connects Paterson Hill at the intersection with Grange Road in the north with Kim Seng Road at the intersection with River Valley Road in the south. The road offers one way traffic going from north to south. It is paired with Hoot Kiam Road which has traffic from south to north.
According to Singapore Street Names, Irwell Bank is the name of a house owned by Boustead. Someone named J. Young lived there in the 1860s. According to the minutes of the Municipal Council from 27 May 1889, the name Irwell Bank was proposed at that time.
