Jalan Besar is a major road in Singapore. It passes through Rochor and Kallang. The road connects Bencoolen Street in the south, at the intersection with Rochor Road and Rochor Canal Road, with Bendemeer Road, at the intersection with Lavender Street, in the north.

Jalan Besar was built by the municipality in the 1880s, on land that was owned by Richard Owen Norris. The area was nipah land. It was given the name Jalan Besar which means "big road" in Malay.1
