Kadayanallur Street, Singapore (1 August 2017)
Kadayanallur Street (Simplified Chinese: 卡达耶那鲁街, Traditional Chinese: 卡達耶那魯街, Pinyin: Kǎdáyénàlǔ Jiē

) is a minor road in the
Chinatown subzone of
Outram urban planning area of Singapore. It connects
Maxwell Road to
Ann Siang Road, at the junction with
Erskine Road. Kadayanallur Street is on a slope going uphill towards
Ann Siang Hill.
The name Kadayanallur refers not to a person, but a place, specifically the city of
Kadayanallur, which is in present-day
Tamil Nadu, India. It got this name because there was once a Tamil Muslim community that settled in this area, which is in the
Tanjong Pagar neighbourhood.
