Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) is one of the newer motorways in Singapore. It runs over a distance of 12 km (7 mi) on the eastern part of the island. The expressway was built in two section. The southern portion opened on 26 October 2007 while the rest of it on 20 September 2008.

The Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway connects the East Coast Parkway to the south with the Tampines Expressway to the north. Of the 12 km of expressway, 8.5 km was built underground through cut-and-cover. This makes it the longest subterranean road tunnel in Southeast Asia and at time of construction, the sixth longest underground road project in the world. The Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway has three lanes in each direction. Exits are numbered from south to north, with the exit numbers corresponding roughly to the distance marker in kilometers. The following is the information on the exits on the KPE, from south to north, beginning from its start at the East Coast Parkway.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
