Keppel Viaduct, Singapore (7 July 2011)
Keppel Viaduct is an elevated highway in downtown
Singapore. It connects the
Marina Coastal Expressway in the east with the
Ayer Rajah Expressway, at the interchange with the
Central Expressway, in the west. The Keppel Viaduct is regarded as part of the Ayer Rajah Expressway. The viaduct was completed, along with the expressway, in 1983.
Updates on the Keppel Viaduct
2 February, 2016: The Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) reports that the Keppel Viaduct will be widened from its three lanes each way to four lanes each way to cater for expected development in the surrounding areas. In addition, the LTA will also rebuilt the exit ramp from the viaduct to
Shenton Way, and widen the access rap from
Keppel Road bearing east towards the
East Coast Parkway. The westbound exit ramp from the Keppel Viaduct to
Keppel Road in the direction of
Sentosa will likewise be widened from one lane to two lanes.
