Liat Towers (GPS: 1.30519, 103.83059) is an office block along the Orchard Road Shopping Belt in Singapore. It is located next to Wheelock Place along Orchard Road. The podium houses a shopping mall with a few restaurants and stores, among them Wendy's, Burger King, Starbucks Coffee, Orange Julius and Massimo Dutti.

On 16 June 2010, Liat Towers was one of the shopping malls badly affected by a flood created by the heavy downpour. The flood caused some material damage to some stores which were forced to close.

As a mesure against future floods, pop-up flood barriers were erected outside Liat Towers. These barriers will rise to form a 36-meter-long, 90-cm-tall wall to safeguard the building against floods. When raised, the wall forms a water-tight seal to prevent water from passing through.

How to reach Liat Towers

Take the Singapore MRT North-South Line to the Orchard MRT Station (NS22).

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
