Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hall, Singapore (30 July 2017)
Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hall (GPS: 1.30943, 103.85306) is the Family Service Centre of the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) in the Little India neighbourhood of Rochor, Singapore. Located on Race Course Lane, it was built in 1953 and named after the father of modern India, Mahatma Gandhiji following the visit by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, to Singapore in 1950. The hall had a statue of Mahatma Gandhi which was installed there by Malcolm Macdonald, the Commissioner General of the United Kingdom.
