Pulau Anak Bukom, Singapore
Pulau Anak Bukom (GPS: 1.22504, 103.77011) is a small islet located about 5 km to the south of the coast of mainland Singapore. Measuring just 0.2 hectares in size, it is next to Pulau Bukom Kechil, to the southwest of Pulau Bukom Besar, which is also known simply as Pulau Bukom.
The two islands, along with nearby Pulau Busing, have undergone some land reclamation, and are now used as one of the many island sites for Singapore's petrochemical industry. As such, it is off limits to casual visitors, and unauthorised photography on the island is prohibited. A view of Pulau Anak Bukom from the sea reveals a landscape comprising colossal cylindrical tanks, an appearance repeated in neighbouring islands.
