Pulau Ular, Singapore
Pulau Ular is the small island located to the immediate west of
Pulau Bukom, and to the northwest of
Pulau Bukom Kechil. As with its neighbouring island, it is used to house Singapore's petrochemical industry, chiefly by Shell Base Chemicals. You can see a number of chimneys and cylindrical tanks on the island. Today the island has been merged with Pulau Bukom Kechil.
The name Pulau Ular means "snake island", probably due to the presence of sea snakes found there.
