Republic Avenue, Singapore (26 July 2017)


Republic Avenue is a major road in downtown Singapore. It skirts the coast of Kallang. The road was built on reclaimed land as an extension to Crawford Street, as a bypass to connect with Republic Boulevard in the south. A branch off the avenue connects with Nicoll Highway. The avenue is tree lined, and in parts affording views of the Kallang Basin.
