Robertson Quay (GPS: 1.2899, 103.83732) is a quay along the Singapore River. It is also the street of the same name. Robertson Quay is also a subzone within the Singapore River Planning Area, in Postal District 09. Covering 51 hectares and representing 53% of the overall area of the Singapore River Planning Area, it is located upriver from Clarke Quay, west of Clemenceau Bridge. The quay, today turned into a pedestrian promenade, is parallel to Mohamed Sultan Road. The street connects to Martin Road on one end and Rodyk Street on the other.
In 1999, as part of the effort of the government to turn Singapore River into a recreational precinct, Robertson Quay was beautified. The quay was also redeveloped into a promenade. Three pedestrian bridges were built to allow visitors to cross the Singapore River and enjoy the views there. The bridges are the Robertson Bridge, Alkaff Bridge and Jiak Kim Bridge.
Among the sights in the vicinity of Robertson Quay include Studio M Hotel, Fraser Place Robertson Walk, and Park Hotel Clark Quay. Across the river on the south side is Havelock Road.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
