Seletar Expressway, Singapore
The Seletar Expressway is a motorway on the northern part of
Singapore. Running 10.8 km (6.7 mi), it connects the
Tampines Expressway and
Central Expressway in the east with the
Bukit Timah Expressway in the west.
Construction of the Seletar Expressway began in the late 1980's, with the first stretch openeing on 24 March, 1990 between the Central Expressway to Upper Thomson Road. The expressway was further lengthen from either ends. From the west, it was extended east from Bukit Timah Expressway to Woodlands Ave 2, opening on 5 November 1995, and from Upper Thomson Road, it extended west to connect on 22 February 1998. It was the last expressway to be completed until 2007, when the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway opened.
