Seng Kee Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle (29 July 2017)
Seng Kee Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle (GPS: xxzz) is a popular hawker stall in the Serangoon Garden Food Centre in Serangoon, Singapore. I had the chance to visit it when my friend Evonne bought me here, on a food hunt during my 2017 visit to Singapore.
When we arrived here at around 11:10am, I saw that a long queue has already formed in front of the stall. Obviously the locals enjoy the noodle of this stall, and I was about to understand why. Evonne waited in line to do the ordering while I went about the hawker centre taking photographs for my encyclopedia. When I returned, the line has hardly moved. In fact, we only received our order at 11:55am, a good forty-five minutes later!
Evonne ordered for me to try the Fish Maw Soup and the Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle Dry. I like the Fish Maw Soup very much. The Minced Meat Noodle has wanton mee-style noodles topped with sliced of Chinese mushroom. The minced meat is below the noodle. Yes, the noodle is al dente and nicely done, but I found that dish is a bit too dry. Moreover, the portion seems rather small - perhaps it is deliberate, as we have other places still to go in our food hunt.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
