Tan Chin Tuan Mansion (GPS: 1.30525, 103.83742) is a luxury condominium at Cairnhill Road, in Newton, Singapore. It comprises a 20-storey block integrated to a historic mansion that was built in the 1930s.

Tan Chin Tuan Mansion draws its name from the mansion of the late banker and philanthropist Tan Sri Dr Tan Chin Tuan, who purchased the house in 1939, just before the Second World War broke out. The house was occupied by members of the late Tan Sri's family until the turn of the 21st century, when it was readapted into a luxury condominium. To that end, a 20-storey block was added while the 1930s mansion was extensively renovated, but kept its façade. The project won the 2008 URA Architectural Award (Category B) for its innovative combination of the old and the new.

Tan Chin Tuan Mansion has only 16 spacious residential units. Each unit is at least 4,000 sqft in size.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
