The Heeren, SingaporeThe Heeren, as seen from Cairnhill Road (1 August 2017)

The Heeren (GPS: 1.30263, 103.8373) is a shopping mall along Orchard Road. It is located at the junction of Orchard Road and Cairnhill Road. It has six levels of retail floors including one basement level. The outlets at The Heeren are geared towards the youth market. Among the tenants include Adidas, Billabong, Converse, Swatch, Toni & Guy and Valerie. Food outlets include Subway, McDonald's and TGI Friday's.

The Heeren was completed in 1997. It replaces Heeren Building, a three-storey building designed in the pseudo-Classical style and completed in 1931. The building was demolished to make way for the widening of Cairnhill Road and Grange Road.

How to reach The Heeren

By MRT
Take the Singapore MRT to the Somerset MRT Station (NS23).

By Car
The car park of The Heeren is entered through Bideford Road after Crown Prince Hotel. It uses the ERP parking system. Unlike other malls in the area, the car park is not operational 24 hours, but only from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. After 11:00 pm, it does not accept entries, although you can still be able to retrieve your vehicle.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
