Tiong Bahru MRT Station (GPS: 1.28608, 103.82689; EW17) is an underground station of the Singapore MRT East-West Line in Bukit Merah, Singapore. It opened on 12 March, 1988. The station, which is linked to the Tiong Bahru Plaza, is on the northern part of Tiong Bahru. It is between the Outram Park MRT Station (EW16) and Redhill MRT Station (EW18).

Tiong Bahru is located in Singapore Postal District 03.

The name Tiong Bahru is the amalgamation of two words, one in Hokkien and another in Malay. The Hokkien word Tiong is actually theong4 塚, meaning cemetery, while the word Bahru means new in Malay. Therefore, Tiong Bahru translates as New Cemetery. It refers to the then new cemetery beside the Old Chinese Burial Ground on the site of the present-day Singapore General Hospital.
