Tong Watt Road is a minor road in River Valley, Singapore. It is in Postal District 09. It connects Kim Yam Road to Mohamed Sultan Road. According to Singapore Street Names¹, the road was named after Hokkien landowner Tan Tong Watt (1861-1907). What's in the Name?² provides additional details, mentioning that Tan Tong Watt started his career as a clerk with Behn Meyer. The road was laid on land owned by him, and it was named in honour, at his request.
