Lorong Singgora, George Town, Penang (27 February 2020)
Singgora Lane, also known today as Lorong Singgora, is a minor road in
George Town, Penang. It runs parallel to
Jalan Patani. Lorong Singgora connects with
Jalan Dato Keramat in the northern end, and intersects with
Jalan Cheah Choo Yew near the southern end.
Just as with Jalan Patani, Lorong Singgora was also named after a place in southern
Thailand, in this case the city of
Songkhla, which is also known as Singgora (and often written as Singora as well).
