SJKC Phei Shin, Jelutong, Penang (6 November 2019)


SJKC Phei Shin (GPS: 5.38684, 100.31361) is a small primary school in Jelutong, Penang. It is not visible from the main road, as it is located along Jalan Bukit Dumbar. That's the road immediately to your left as you pass the Jelutong pekan. It is next to the Dumbar Villa apartment.

At the time of first writing (Sept 2009), the school building of SRJK (C) Phei Shin appeared neglected, with its paint peeling off. At time of photographing it, I am not sure whether the school is in operation, judging from its neglected appearance. But later on, the school was renovated, and by my most recent update (Nov 2019) it was looking good and well-maintained.

When I returned to photograph the school again in 2013, it has a new school building and the school itself is in operation.

Getting there

The nearest bus stop along Jalan Jelutong is served by Rapid Penang bus 301, 302, 303 and 401.
