SPCA Penang (GPS: 5.39588, 100.31949) or Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is an organisation created specially to look after the welfare of animals. It is located on Jalan Jeti Jelutong in Jelutong, Penang. The SPCA was founded in 1948, and was originally known as the RSPCA or Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, being associated with the RSPCA of the United Kingdom. Founded in 1824, the RSPCA is today the oldest and biggest animal welfare organisation in the world.

The mission of SPCA Penang is to generate greater awareness of animal welfare. This it does through public education on responsible pet ownership. The organisation often provides shelter to abandoned animals, including those that are not well. Although the SPCA does not like to put animals to sleep, it is sometimes compelled to do this. Thus people who are going to leave their animals with the SPCA have to accept that there may be circumstances where the SPCA may have to perform euthanasia on the animals. To avoid having animals being put to sleep, the members of the public are encourage to adopt animals which are in the care of SPCA.
