Straits International School, Bayan Lepas (6 January 2017)


Straits International School (GPS: 5.29759, 100.2678), also known as SIS, is an international school with a campus in Bayan Lepas, Penang. It was established by Charter Sdn Bhd and launched on 6 August 2012. Penang is the first site of the Straits International School, with other campuses planned for Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.

Straits International School offers a flexible British curriculum for pupils from age 4 to 16 encompassing pre-school, primary and secondary school levels. Until it moves into its permanent along Jalan Tun Dr Awang, it is presently located at 1-Square at The One Penang Cyber City. Meanwhile, construction of the permanent campus costing about RM20 million is in progress, and is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2014.
