Jalan Pekeliling, Bukit Gelugor, Penang (22 January 2020)


Jalan Pekeliling is a road in Bukit Gelugor, Penang. The word "pekeliling" means "encircle", and true to that name, the road encircles Bukit Gelugor. It starts and ends at Jalan Khemah, both the two ends to not meet. Jalan Pekeliling is lined with semi-wooden houses that were built in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Some of these houses have been rebuilt in bricks over the ensuing decades. There are also government quarters built around that period.
