Sungai Kuala Jalan Baru, Balik Pulau (27 February 2013)


Sungai Kuala Jalan Baru is a river in Balik Pulau. Different parts of the river is known by different name. At Titi Teras, it is called Sungai Titi Teras while at Jalan Kampung Paya Kongsi, it is known as Sungai Kongsi. The name changes to Sungai Kuala Jalan Baru when it flows along the route between Jalan Baru and Kuala Jalan Baru approaching the coast.

Much of Sungai Kuala Jalan Baru is today canalised, and Jalan Kuala Jalan Baru is laid to follow its course. There is quite a number of bridges across it. One of these leads to Yeok Hua Primary School, the local Chinese school.
