Sungai Nibong Besar

Sungai Nibong Besar is a river on the eastern coast of Penang Island. It is one of two major streams in the Sungai Nibong area, the other being Sungai Nibong Kecil. Ironically, while Sungai Nibong Besar means "big nibong river", it is smaller than Sungai Nibong Kecil.

Sungai Nibong Besar begins as a stream in Bukit Jambul. Much of its course is today canalised, and in fact, it has been diverted from its original course into the also canalised Sungai Dua before entering the South Channel near Putra Place Condominium.
