Surau Kubang Semang (18 July 2015)


Surau Kubang Semang (GPS: 5.39834, 100.46482) is a prayer hall of heritage value in Kubang Semang, Penang. It is raised from the ground, like a Malay house, and bears intricate carvings on the air vents, eaves and pediments. It was put together without nails. The surau is believed to have been built in the late 19th century. It is located off Jalan Tanah Liat.
