Swimming Lessons in Penang

If you are interested in learning to swim and are looking for an instructor, you would be pleased to know that there are swimming schools providing lessons in Penang. There are lessons for children, adults as well as courses conducted specially for ladies.

The Lessons

The swimming lessons are geared for different groups of learners, whether they are children aged 5 to 13, people aged above 13, or ladies. The lessons assist learners in preparing their confidence with water, where they learn to breath, float and submerge. As Beginners, the learners are taught to perform breaststroke and freestyle.

Once learners are able to swim on their own for a distance of at least 10 meters, they can progress to the Intermediate stage, where they improve on their breaststroke and freestyle. They are taught breathing techniques to enable them to swim longer distance. This takes them to the Advance stage where they are taught to improve on their stamina, to swim even longer distance.

There are swimming classes for ladies conducted by lady instructors. Lady learners are often more comfortable in the presence of lady instructors, who are able better able to understand the female anatomy and discuss matters with the learners.

Swimming lessons are conducted at locations where there are swimming pools, among them Universiti Sains Malaysia, the Penang Chinese Swimming Club and Permata Sports Complex, among others. The swimming school will advise you of the exact location.
