Taking the Bus from Penang Airport is the cheapest and most convenient way to start your vacation in Penang, especially if you are a budget traveler. As you exit the Arrival Hall into the Arrival concourse area, you will see the road in front of you split into three channels. The one nearest the terminal building is for awaiting Airport White Taxis. Next to it, the middle channel, is for private cars. Furthest away, on the outer channel are for buses and cars entering the car park. The public bus stop is located on that outer channel.
There are four bus routes operating out of the Penang Airport. They are 102 (relaunched on 15 March 2010), 306, 401, 401E and Airport Transit (AT) buses. The frequency of each route is every 45 minutes.
As you board the bus of your choice, inform the driver where you are heading, and he will issue you the ticket. Drop the fare in the box. Make sure you bring small change, as the driver is not able to provide change.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
