Due to its proximity to Patani Road, there is a possibility that the apartment was misnamed "petani", meaning "farmer" in Malay, rather than "Patani", the name of the city in Thailand. Taman Petani Apartment is across the road from Desa Singora Apartment, and in front of UMNO Jelutong Branch. In front of it is a bus park.
