Tanjung Bungah Hock Teik Soo Temple (2 November 2013)
Tanjung Bungah Hock Teik Soo Temple (GPS: 5.46438, 100.28299) is a Chinese temple in
Tanjong Bungah. It is located away from the main road, and is reached through a small lane. There is a signboard beside Jalan Tanjung Bungah point the way to the temple. Upon arriving at the temple, the road is a one-way where you enter on the left and exit on the right.
Tanjung Bungah Hock Teik Soo Temple was established in 1957. The main deity here is Zhǔn Tí Púsà (准提菩萨). Feast days at the temple includes the birthday of Kuan Yin and Tua Pek Kong.
There are two temple buildings in the compound, I suppose to accommodate the different deities. The first one is signaged Persatuan Kheng Yee Nam Hing Kong, while the second is 祠德福. On the side is the society for ex-students of
Poay Wah School.
