Tanjung City Marina (4 April 2010)
Tanjung City Marina (GPS: 5.41527, 100.34329) is presently a disused marina at
Church Street Pier in George Town. It was built at a cost of RM44 million to replace an earlier marina sited at Fort Point off
Fort Cornwallis near
Swettenham Pier. The construction of Tanjung City Marina, on a 1.6 hectare area of both land and sea, is part of a RM210 million project to rehabilitate the George Town waterfront.
The Tanjung City Marina
102 berths. They range in size from
11 meters to 50 meters. Boats, yachts and catamarans can now rent space for berthing there.

The Tanjung City Marina may be revitalized in the
Eastern Seafront Development project which is expected to commence in 2020 and be completed in 2024.
4 December, 2012:
The Tanjung City Marina was abandoned since mid 2011 due to deteriorating conditions and damage to the floating structures. The Penang State Government is keen to take over the management of Tanjung City Marina from the Penang Port Commission.
How to reach Tanjung City Marina
Tanjung City Marina is within walking distance of the ferry terminal, Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda. Exiting the Ferry Terminal, turn right and walk along Weld Quay until you see Tanjung City Marina on your right. The Tanjung City Marina is part of the Church Street Pier complex.
