Teluk Bahang Roundabout (GPS: 5.45784, 100.21472) is a roundabout in Teluk Bahang, on the northwestern part of Penang Island. The roundabout was beautified in 2012, and adorned the a sculpture depicting the monkey cups or pitcher plant, which is a genus known by its scientific name Nepenthes. This sculpture has made the roundabout one of the most beautiful in Penang.

The Teluk Bahang Roundabout is where for main roads meet: Jalan Teluk Bahang, Jalan Titi Kerawang, Jalan Hasan Abas and Jalan Teluk Awak. The choice of monkey cups as the theme of this roundabout is to celebrate that Teluk Bahang is home to the Penang National Park. There are three different species of Monkey Cup featured at the Teluk Bahang Roundabout. The tallest of the three is Nepenthes albomarginata. Slightly shorter is Nepenthes gracilis. The shortest and most rotund of the three is Nepenthes ampullaria. All three species of Monkey Cup are found in Penang.

N. albomarginata is endemic to Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra. Its pitcher measures up to 15 cm in length (or should I say, height). On the front side of the pitcher is a pair of fringed wings. N. gracilis is found in forested lowlands in Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sulawesi, Sumatra and even Singapore. Bulbous in appearance, the Nepenthes ampullaria has one of the most adorable pitchers of the genus. It is found in damp, shady forests throughout Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra, Thailand, Singapore, the Maluku Islands and New Guinea.
