The Temple of Fine Arts Malaysia (GPS: 5.41818, 100.31411) is the Malaysian branch of the Temple of Fine Arts, a non-profit organisation promoting an appreciation and study of Indian arts and culture. The Penang branch of the organisation is located at
Babington Avenue. Other branches of the organisation in Malaysia are located in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Malacca.
The Temple of Fine Arts Kuala Lumpur is located on
Jalan Berhala in
Brickfields.
The Temple of Fine Arts has been operating since 1981. It was established by Swami Shantanand Sarawathi, an Indian guru who is diffusing a knowledge of Indian culture around the world. Apart from the organisation now established in Malaysia, the Temple of Fine Arts also has branches in Singapore, Chennai and Coimbatore in India, and in Perth, Australia.
Along with dances, the Temple of Fine Arts also operates the
Annalakshmi Restaurant, which makes "vegetarian dining a cultural experience". The restaurant is usually located within the premises of the organisation. It offers buffet lunches and evening fine dining.
