Statue of King Rama VI is located at the entrance of Lumphini Park in Bangkok. King Rama VI is also known as King Vajiravudh or Phra Mongkut Klao Chaoyuhua. He is the son of King Chulalongkorn and grandson of King Mongkut. His statue was moulded and cast by Professor Silp Phirasri, and was inaugurated by the present King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) on 27 March, 1942. It was the first large statue
Getting there
You can reach Statue of King Rama VI by using the BTS Skytrain as well as the Metro. Taking the BTS Silom Line, disembark at the Sala Daeng station (S2). If taking the Metro, disembark at the Si Lom station (SIL). Immediately behind the statue is the entrance to Lumphini Park.
