King Vajiravudh Museum (29 August 2006)
King Vajiravudh Museum is dedicated to King Rama VI, as respect to the king for his initiative in setting up the organization (Suea Pa) that was to become the Department of Territorial Defence. It is housed in the Ratchawonlop Building which belongs to the Department of Territorial Defence. It stand at the junction of Sanam Chai Road and Charoen Krung Road facing the roundabout.
The King Vajiravuh Museum has old photographs and biography of the king, and shows his activities, such as presenting medals to regiments of the Thai Royal Army. Also displayed are the royal attire and belongings of His Majesty.
Getting there
The King Vajiravudh Museum is located along Sanam Chai Road, across the road from
Wat Pho. It is not a tourist sight of considerable interest, but if you are in the neighborhood, it is good to take a look at it.
