Ko Poda (GPS: 7.97181, 98.80949) is a beautiful karst island 25 minutes by boat from Krabi. It is located north of
Ko Tap, Ko Mor and
Ko Kai (Chicken Island). This island, just a little less than one kilometre in diameter, has a beach that stretches along the northeastern shore. There is a grove of palm trees forming a green blanket over the soft white sand. About 20 metres offshore, there is a coral reef.
A landmark of Ko Poda is a towering karst outcrop that stands on the north side of the island. That outcrop rising sheer from the sea is called
Ko Ma Tang Ming.
